The walk of life......

His parents had an arranged marriage, so they had little option but to marry each other..
He was born in 1964, because that was when his parents decided to have him.....
He did not spend his initial life in a big city, because his dad didnt like big cities...
He didnt get educated in any big reputed school, his small town didnt have any...
He wanted to study a particular subject in the famous university in the big city, but he didnt get it because they had a massive quota for locals... so went to a lesser university...
He wanted to go abroad for his masters degree, but realised they laid a big emphasis on his educational pedigree.
He started teaching at the famous university he had wanted to study in, and felt a small victory.
It turned sweeter when he met the woman he wanted to marry, she also taught there...
And more sweeter when she gave birth to their son....
a few months later, the child fell sick, because of food poisoning in his baby food!!
he took leave, but she decided to go because she had already used up a whole lot of hers...since she was in a hurry, he decided to get breakfast from the hotel across the road...... and got killed while crossing the road..........
if he had a different set of parents, who decided to have him earlier, and live in a big city, and send him to an international school there, he might have studied the subject of his choice in the big university, gone abroad, not taught at the big university, nor met his wife, nor had the son who had the bout of food poisoning, and so he wouldnt have to cross the road....
and they say you make your own destiny...
until next time, just enjoy the walk, while it lasts....

garfy: lol, the one that crossed the road.. i resent 'meanie', 'ol' and 'tease'..hehe.. and while i cannot tell u all what its about, i'll just say, you'll catch at least a couple of glimpses of it here in the next few weeks (since this is my customer feedback mechanism ;) ).. and yes, best of luck for your next exam..:)

stone: relax, u have not... now, i could argue and say that it doesnt have to be a story set in 2005, but the first version of the story had a timeline effect also, and i forgot to change the year...i have changed it now, thx man... :)

Alrite meanie ol tease (resent it all you want... Authorial intentions do not count!) -- This is xtremely unfair ... we gotta know what its about... is it abt politics, life, movies, you, whatever... when are you writing it? Will it be funny/humorous/black humor? Will it sad and morbid? When is it coming to the bookstore near me? :)

reminds me of an ole' nursery rhyme, long removed from being taught as it is quite macabre- solomon grandy, born on monday, christened on teusday, married on wednesday, took ill on thursday, worse on friday, died on saturday, buried on sunday and that was the end of solomon grandy! nice way of teaching the days of the week dont u think?!

manuscrypts said...

grinch: actually,a step away...:)

blokes: yup, remember that one... and so long as the teaching is done, nice way indeed..hehe

Life is such a series of random events and we're miniscule bits of fluff in all of this...do you really think these are logical patterns?

manuscrypts said...

devil: thats quite a controversial statement coming from you ;)

ideasmith: whether we can decipher the pattern or not, there is definitely one, i believe so....
hmm, think about it this way, (with no disrespect to ants..hehe), do you think ants are at a level of intelligence where they can fathom that the earth is round and is in the solar system, which is in the milky way? do they even know they are not comprehending it?? but we humans know about all of that.. if u scale it up, what makes us think that we are even at a level capable of comprehending the patterns that maybe are evident at a higher level of consciousness??..*burp* sorry, that i guess was verbal diaorrhea...:)
